NetObjects Fusion Essentials - NetObjects Fusion Essentials is a free version of NetObjects Fusion, a WYSIWYG HTML generator that allows web sites to be built with very little HTML knowledge. There is a fairly steep learning curve, but NetObjects documentation provides a very good “Getting Started” tutorial. If you want to try a WYSIWYG web page tool for free without the time limitations that Adobe imposes on their Dreamweaver trial, NetObjects Fusion Essentials is an excellent choice. Click here for more information and the download button for NetObjects Fusion Essentials.    GIMP - GIMP, the GNU Image Manipulation Program, is a free open-source program that can provide most of the functions that Adobe Photoshop provides. As with most complex programs, there is a steep learning curve associated with using it and despite some very good online tutorials, I had to resort to purchasing a “GIMP Bible” in order to become more fluent with it. However, in terms of features, GIMP appears to be the best free piece of software for photo and graphic manipulation. The description in Inkscape’s FAQ states that what differentiates Inkscape from other similar programs is it’s use of Scalable Vector Graphics. Vectorian Giotto - Vectorian Giotto is a freeware program that allows you to make Flash animations graphically. It has a lot of the features of Adobe Flash including actionscript, but it also has a lot of animation effects unique to Giotto.
